A new beginning
I don't really know what blogging is buuuuttt I'm going to try. The past few weeks have been crazy, with moving 800 mines away and adjusting to it. Thirteen day ago I was living in a different house and a different state. But I knew it was time to grow up, meet new people, and become my own person. I have always wanted to go far away from home for college but I never knew where. I applied to school all over the east coast and my only criteria was warm weather, big school, big football team. When I visited the University of South Carolina I knew this was the right place for me. No one else from my high school even looked here, which made me want to come even more. I knew I was going to love it here, but I never thought this much. I love everything about this place: the atmosphere, weather, the people, the campus. The atmosphere here in Columbia is SO much different than up north. Not only is the weather nicer, but so are the people! Walking through campus just trying to get to class at least 20 people give you a warm smile and say "Hi! How are you!" I'm not saying that New Yorkers are mean per say, but they definitely keep to themselves a LOT more. Campus is beautiful, living on the horeshoe couldn't be more perfect. Not only is it the perfect location (close to all my classes and food courts) but the scenery makes me excited get up and go outside (its also a good way to get me to class on time). Just this morning, the smell of the freshly cut grass I smelt on my way to class made me happy..even though I was on my way to an 8am class...I'm also rushing this Fall. All I have to say is thank god Rush was mostly over before classes started. Rush took up about 12 hours of my day for multiple days a week. Now it's just on the weekends, so I have more time to focus on my school work. I am so excited to find out if I have made it into a sorority this weekend! I'm so glad that I have found what I believe to be the best college for myself and I have no doubt that all of my years here in Columbia will be nothing less than perfect.
